Why High Sec Hulk Miners Annoy Me !

These players have taken a long time to skill up to fly these dedicated mining ships and what do they do ............. they skirt around high sec systems. Im not talking about 0.5 or 0.6 but 0.7 and upwards, the very systems new players mine and the only systems they can mine for a while untill they have the skills to tank the rats.

Not all high sec systems are the same, some are more dangerous to a newb player than others and anyone with an ounce of sense knows this.

Yet we have Hulk miners with months of skill training under their belts literally stripping the asteroid belts that new players can mine in reasonable safety.

Do these players have no imagination ?

Do these players really need the security of the higher sec systems to mine ?

Why not play the game and explore the more lucrative areas eve has to offer instead of sucking eve high sec dry !

It annoys me so much, pure selfish gameplay. Ok we all want to make isk and progress but these high sec hulk miners are operating on a purely selfish fashion.

Do they even realise by doing what they are doing they are putting potential subscribers off the game ?

"Yeah, I played Eve Online for a week, I went out to make some Isk so I could buy a better ship etc etc, but I couldnt make any in the systems I could fly in, ended up having to go to the lower safety systems and got killed by the rats, so I quit"

Ok, thats rather simplified but not so far from the truth.

Ive seen it countless times in the newb channel that players can not find any belts to mine, all the experienced high skilled miners should be ashamed. If you are Hulk miner in 0.7 or above, please think about what you are doing and stop being so selfish

Have to stick my hand up and say that I'm sometimes guilty of that.

But usually, only after getting blown up mining in 0.4.

I wrote this last night after flying around some 0.7 systems and seeing all the belts depleted.

I fly in high sec when I need a break from watching my back all the time too, so this was more a dig at the miners who strip the belts day after day. The same ones who you can see mining the same high sec systems for months at time sometimes.
