Mission Types In Eve

There a various mission types in Eve, here we can see a quick run down of what you can expect the various mission departments will give you to complete your missions.

The type of agent can be seen when you click on them so you should have a good idea which types of missions you will be running more of.

You will be asked to complete one of four mission types for any given agents with certain departments favouring one particular type of mission.

Courier Missions

Courier missions will usually require you fetch and pick up items for the agent, he or she will give you the pick up point and final destination for the goods and can sometimes require the use of industrial ships such as a Badger or Bestower to move the cargo.

Encounter or Kill Missions

These missions do exactly as the name implies. You will be asked to warp to a Bookmark and usually kill all the hostile NPC rats you find here, you can also be asked to seek an objective here and return this to your agent.

You will sometimes be warped to a Dedspace which requires you to go through a acceleration gate into an area of space, once you have killed all the rats you will usually be required to use the next accelration gate into another area to complete the mission objective. You may be required to travel through 3 - 5 gates before the mission is complete.

Mining Missions

Pretty self explanetory really, you will need to mine some ores and return them to your agent. Ores can also be purchased from the market and handed into your agent.

Trade Missions

Again Trade missions will ask you to supply certain goods to your agent, these can usually be bought from the market or you could manufacture them yourself.
