Yes, you can play eve online for free !
You will need to sign up for the initial game but once you have your first subscription up and running you will be able to trade the Isk you make in-game for Plex,s which is just like a Game Time Card which pays for your monthly subscriptions.
There is a way to play on a full account without ever having to pay for even the initial sign up and subscription fee, it is explained at the end of this series but I would recommend reading through the full series first.
This wont be easy for a newer player but it is still possible, it all amounts to how much time you have to play the game and so make Isk.
There are a number of ways you could do this, Mining, Missioning, Ninja Salvaging, even Scamming which is a perfectly legitimate career in Eve.
One you have a few months experience this becomes much easier
Once you are quite experienced and have been training your skills for 2 or 3 months, making enough Isk to play for free will become much easier.
We will go through some tips and tricks to get you going quicker.
